Nexos

NEXOS: Critical Theory and Interdisciplinary Researchs is a network of studying and research that aims to establish collaborations and partnerships among regional and national partners in order to product methodological and theoretical knowledge in critical theory and contemporary issues such as the new technologies. The NEXOS Research Network includes four research interinstitutional groups equally named in Northeast, Midwest, Southeast and South Brazil, connecting local, regional and national researches developed by professors, researchers, undergraduate and graduate students in all the five regions of the country. In each region, a coordinator manages local/regional researches, while acting in a collective research involving the entire network. The confrontation between results of research coming from all regions provides a map of social, political and culture expressions in Brazil in the current context, establishing a greater integration between academic research and the production of knowledge in social theory in the country.

The purpose of the First Meeting NEXOS: Critical Theory and Interdisciplinary Research, which is happening with the Second International Symposium on Critical Theory, is to systematize the first national collective research involving the entire network in exchanging with national and international renowned researchers in this field. Another purpose is to launch the general theme and overall project for the coming years on social, cultural and subjective issues involving the new digital technologies.
